The Engineering Asset Management and Asset Integrity Engineer vocational education courses are based on the Integrated Engineering Asset Management Framework that incorporates the fundamental principles of Engineering Asset Management developed by Dr Rudolph Frederick Stapelberg for the Australian Federal Government funded Cooperative Research Centre for Integrated Engineering Asset Management (CIEAM), for the establishment of an Engineering Asset Management Body of Knowledge, which was distributed to CIEAM's participant tertiary institutions as a guide in developing post graduate qualification courses in a Graduate Certificate of Asset Management, Master of Asset Management, and Master of Engineering Asset Management.
