APET, the Academy for Professional Education and Training, develops and offers professional skills training in a wide range of both engineering and management topics, either through experts in their field presenting special courses and workshops, or through the Academy's own suite of training modules. The Academy also provides professional executive management development workshops as well as content-based e-learning.

These certificate, diploma, and graduate diploma courses include the following topics: Defence Acquisition Management; Defence Capability Management; Defence Materiel Integration Management; and Defence Deployment Management. These courses are developed to meet the requirements of the Australian Defence Materiel Organisation.
